The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has devoted an entire standard to paint spray booths. This standard is found in section 1910.107 of the Code of Federal Regulations.
ESP's paint spray booth certification is designed to assure compliance with OSHA standards. Testing includes the following items:

NIST traceable calibration of test instruments
Smoke face traverse leakage test
Noise evaluation
OSHA restricted localized hazard evaluation
Safe work practice evaluation
Written safety in-service
Same day written test report
