LABORATORY HAZARDOUS VAPOR MONITORING

REGULATORY STANDARDS:

Many OSHA standards apply to hazardous vapors in laboratories. Those chemicals deemed to be very hazardous or carcinogenic have entire standards devoted to them. These chemicals include formaldehyde, benzene, lead, cadmium, vinyl chloride, inorganic arsenic, and several others. Several hundred other compounds are regulated in section 1910.1000, subparts Z-1 and Z-2.

OSHA requires air monitoring records to be kept for 30 years!

On April 1, 1996 the state of North Carolina adopted its own air contaminants standard which is stricter than that of federal OSHA. Please feel free to call or E mail us with any specific questions.

ESP can help your facility fullfill OSHA requirements with our on-site monitoring program or with our passive monitoring badges.
